Giving Tuesday is all about giving back—and this year, we’re doing it in a BIG way. Ashley, a proud Spark Chapter Leader with Giving Tuesday Spark, first launched a youth-led chapter in Arizona in January of 2021, where she brought together a passionate group of changemakers to spread generosity throughout their community.
This team has led impactful service projects including:
- Kindness Costs Nothing Campaign – promoting everyday compassion
- Encouragement Cards for Foster Youth – uplifting messages for children in care
- Art Kit Creation – sparking creativity for kids in need
- Summer of Service Challenge – inspiring consistent volunteerism
- Valentine’s Day Card Drive – sharing love and joy
- Generosity Challenge Participation – amplifying the spirit of giving
- Support for Sargeant’s Army Outerwear Drive – distributing warm clothing nationwide
- Their efforts have earned several Spark members the prestigious Congressional Service Award, recognizing their outstanding commitment to service.
Now, that spark has grown into a movement. What began in Arizona has expanded across borders—Sargeant’s Army is now partnering with universities around the world to unite the missions of Giving Tuesday and youth-led service. Together, we’re building a global network of students who believe that small acts of kindness can create massive waves of change.
