About The Program

Hey everyone! My name is Rachel Counts, and I’m a senior nursing student at the University of Louisville! Upon graduation I hope to become a pediatric oncology nurse, and help fight cancer through volunteering and caring for patients in the hospital! I am blessed with a servants heart and a passion for volunteering, and I cannot wait to come along the sergeants army journey, and not only watch, but be a part of the change in our communities across the commonwealth! 

 I am Laura Roberts and I currently hold the title of Elegant Ms. National American Southern Indiana.  I am also a mom to three grown children and lots of fur babies.  I love to volunteer and serve in my community.  I currently volunteer with Ardi's Bears, the Amercian Foundation for Suicide Prevention (board member and education chair), and Gilda's Club of Kentuckiana.  I love watching history and paranormal shows, especially Expedition Unknown, Ghost Brothers and any of Jack Osborne's ghost hunting adventures. I collect anything bear related.  Love spending time in nature and going to Renaissance  Fairs.  

 Hey yall! I am Shaylee Leonard! I am currently going into my junior year of high school and hold the title of Miss Heart of the Commonwealths Teen under the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization. In the future I would love to become an elementary school teacher and grow my love for volunteering even more. I’m so excited to join Sargeant’s Army with some talented women and can’t wait to see what all we do to spread kindness across the world!
