Submission due date: 8/13/2026

Winner(s) announced: 8/31/2026

• Artwork must be black and white line drawing
• Page size must 4" x 6"
• No copyrighted characters, logos, or branded imagery
• All designs must be appropriate for all ages
• File format: PNG, JPG, or PDF

• Avoid shading, gradients or filled-in areas
• Avoid political content, violent imagery, or anything not aligned with Sargeant's Army's mission
• Be simple enough for children to color yet meaningful enough to inspire those who receive the cards 
• Include the words "Thank you for your service"

• Open to U.S. residents
• One entry per person
• Artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist
• By entering, participants grant Sargeant’s Army permission to reproduce, print, and distribute the winning design
• Parent/guardian consent is required for minors

A panel of Sargeant's Army board members and volunteers will evaluate each submission based on:
- Creativity

- Alignment with the project

- Suitability for coloring

- Clarity and simplicity of design

• Your design becomes the official Hero Card for the year
• Featured in the No Soldier Left Behind project kits for one year
• Certificate of recognition
• Spotlight on the Sargeant's Army social media and website
